
By popular request, Promota now supports casting to multiple displays. Here's how to do it.
Connect a Chromecast to Each Display
In order to cast, each display must be connected to its own Chromecast. Ie: if you have three displays, you'll need three Chromecasts.
Through the Google Home app, connect each Chromecast to your mobile device. For detailed instructions, check our support article on how to set up a Chromecast.
Note: For the setup process, make sure that your Chromecast and mobile device are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Cast to Multiple Displays Simultaneously
The casting process hasn’t changed much, as we wanted to keep it simple and intuitive.
Stay on the same Wi-Fi network that you used when setting up Chromecast. From the Digital Signs or Slideshows tab, select a sign and hit Cast.
If all Chromecasts have been set up, a list of available displays will appear. Tap the display you wish to cast to.


Select Your Displays
From Digital Signs or Slideshows tab, select a sign and hit Cast.
If Chromecasts have been set up and you're on the same Wi-Fi network, a list of available displays will populate. Select the one you wish to cast to.
Cast & Repeat
Repeat until all displays have been filled up.



No Available Device Nearby?
If you get a message saying 'There's no available device nearby', there’s two possibilities:
Your Chromecast devices aren’t connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Your mobile device isn’t connect to the same Wi-Fi network.
Return to Step 1 and check our FAQ for assistance.

Casting from Outside Your Network
After your digital signs appear on screen, you're free to disconnect your Chromecast’s Wi-Fi, leave the store, or even exit the Promota app on your phone. Casting will continue as long as your Chromecast device is plugged in and running the Promota app.

To Change an Active Casting
Want swap out an active promotion? From the Digital Signs/Slideshows tab, select one to show instead. Tap 'Cast', and the list of available displays will appear. Tap the display you want to send it to. If the display already has a promotion running, your new cast will override it.
To end a cast altogether, disconnect the Chromecast device from the display.
